ST MARTIN de Porres School held their annual St Martin Day at the school this month, where staff and pupils were taught about St Martin and his good work.

The day is celebrated annually on November 3 to commemorate the death of St Martin the Catholic saint after whom the school is named.“St Martin was the type of person that did not discriminate against anyone. He loved good people and criminals alike and spent his days helping the poor,” said the school’s foundation phrase head of department, Sister Staff Dlamini.

At the event teachers enrolled in the school’s religious studies course graduated and were given certificates.

“We would like to congratulate all the teachers that graduated today after a whole year of studying,” said Dlamini.
