2017-07-27 06:02

A MAN was arrested in the Port Shepstone CBD on Monday after being found in possession of a mini truck that was reported stolen in Durban last month. SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said Warrant Officer Johan Terreblanche of the Port Shepstone K9 unit and a community member, Hendrik Ludick, followed up on certain information, which led them to the Sheppie CBD where they made the arrest.

“The man will be charged for possession of a stolen vehicle and will appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Wiid.

He will also face charges of theft of a motor vehicle in Durban and the investigation will be continued by Port Shepstone Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit. Port Shepstone station commander Brigadier Sandra Nala thanked Ludick and Warrant Officer Terreblanche for their vigilance. - Supplied.
