LAST Thursday members from the Port Shepstone Project team went to a house in Bhomela after receiving information about illegal weapons.

Inside the house they found two males, aged 20 and 25, and told them to open a safe in which they found a 3.75mm revolver, five 3.75mm rounds and two 9mm rounds, for which the man couldn’t produce licences.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the members also found big daggers, bank notes and 75 capsules of heroin in the safe.

“The two were arrested and they will be charged for possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of ammunition without a licence, possession of dangerous weapons and possession of drugs. They will appear in court soon. - Supplied.
