Thank you for excellent pipe repair job

2016-02-11 06:00

AFTER reporting a serious water leak on the main line (100mm) from Ugu in Tucker Road, Uvongo at 11am on 4 February, the first team arrived at 11.20am to close off the valves - apologies to residents who were without water for the rest of the afternoon.

Another team (Morris Mvundla, Bahle Gumbi, Simon Hlongwane and Bha Nene) started digging and cutting tree roots and removing the old rusted clamps was a big job.

Finally the cracked asbestos pipe could be removed and replaced with a polyurethane pipe with steel clamps.

Thank you to the team who did an excellent repair job.
