THE inaugural Zumbathon for charity held at Port Shepstone High School on Saturday was well-supported, with over 70 people in attendance.

The Zumbathon was held to raise funds for the SPCA and the Masibambisane Creche in Kwamadlala and it raised R6 400 at the event.

Organiser and local Zumba coach Cindy Francis said she was pleased with the turnout.

“The event really went very well, the energy was good and it was a lot of fun.

“I am very happy and grateful to the community for coming out to support it,” said Francis.

She added that she will be handing over the proceeds to the organisations this week.
