AN accident on Seaslopes road in Manaba claimed the lives of two young men — Devesh Rupnarain and Mickalin Govender early on Sunday morning.

Police said upon their arrival at the scene of the incident, which occurred after midnight, one of the victims was already deceased.

Margate SAPS spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka said interviews from witnesses at the scene revealed that the driver may have lost control of the vehicle.

“According to the witnesses on site, it is alleged that the driver of the vehicle lost control and he sustained multiples of injuries on his body,” said Mfeka.
