THE U15 teams from around the region participated in an all-day soccer tournament at Nkonka High School in Murchison on Saturday.

Twelve teams, including those from Gamalakhe, Bhobhoyi and the Mtengwane participated the tournament.

Ultimately it was down to The Destroyers from Murchison and Gamalakhe All Stars in the finals, which The Destroyers won, 3-0.

Organiser and manager of The Destroyers, Lucky Gcaba said the tournament was great.

“The aim of the tournament was to combine children from different areas in sport,” said Gcaba.

“I would like to thank all the teams for coming. Although my team won the tournament it was good that we played against a visiting team in the final,” he said.
