Members of the UGU Athletics Club (UAC) recently participated in the Sani Stagger 42.2km race, which took place along the Sani Pass road, between the Premier Resort Sani Pass and the Lesotho Border Post.

A host of people from various sporting clubs, and some on an individual basis, entered the annual sporting event which began at 6am on Saturday Morning.

Overall, it was a memorable experience for all participants.

“We were lucky enough to have good weather throughout the entire race, although it was extremely hot.

“It was a challenging route that you definitely had to prepare for in advance.

“It was every exciting to see almost 500 participants eagerly waiting to start the race.

“The Stani Stagger race is booked well in advance and I was extremely grateful to be a part of it,” said Eddie Ramaloo, founder of UGU Athletics Club.
