Ugu water woes unending

2017-05-11 06:02

NEAR Shooters Hill in Ramsgate and in Daddy Wahl Road in Ramsgate, water is continuously flowing from the verge across the road. After I reported the water wastage, Ugu provided me with a reference number. Within a few days I received an SMS, notifying me of the repairs.

No workmen were on the site, hence no work was done.

The water continued to flow on to the road. Consequently I reported the problem again and I was issued with the same reference number. Within two days I received an SMS, which stated that the problem had been resolved. Once again no workmen were on the site. Thus no work was done and the water is still flowing unabated, yet many rural areas lack water.

Why are we blatantly issued with lies? When I attempted to obtain an appointment with Ugu in Port Shepstone, I was instructed to “just arrive,” as appointments are not arrange. So I “just arrived” to be refused entry as Ugu was on strike.

In the complex where I reside, Ugu charges an exorbitant water bill. I am the only occupant on the premises for an average of two days per week. I was told that the high water bill is attributed to the use of a conservancy tank for sewage. The complex is on water borne
sewage. How can one resolve
these problems?
