Volleyball association elects new committee

THE Port Shepstone Volleyball Association (PSVA) has elected a new executive committee.

The elections were held at the association’s annual general meeting (AGM) at Marburg Secondary School on March 7.

In the newly elected committee Iks Naicker is the chairperson, vice-chairperson is Jason Govender, Mona Harichand is the secretary, Allison Appalsamy is treasurer, Deborah Pakkiri the records clerk, Devi Govender the public relations officer and Anesh Dalwat is the tournaments’ director.

The association caters for three divisions, including premier, social and juniors, and all teams that wish to register for league games have until March 31 to register. All are also invited to the first Port Shepstone knockout tournament which will be held at Marburg Secondary School on Saturday.

Registration starts at 1 pm and games will commence at 2 pm.
