VOLUNTEER mothers who are part of Touched by an Angel non-profit organisation were treated to a special lunch on Saturday at the Umtwentweni Beach.

As entertainment before serving lunch, the mothers played games and challenged each other in a balloon-blowing challenge. A variety of prizes were given away to the winners of the challenges and games and the mother that burst her balloon in the challenge, Saloomie Moodley, received a voucher from a local salon. Beverly Van Wyk won a prize for a guessing game and the mothers also enjoyed a poem from the children of the organisation.

Founder of the organisation, Cookie Basudeo, said that the event was to recognise and give thanks to all the mothers who volunteer their time to Touched by an Angel. Basudeo said that the event was a success and would like to thank all those who attended.
