THE Wild Coast Sun is to host the second Wild Coast Sun Drift Expo on Saturday after the inaugural expo in August 2015.

A 1 500-strong crowd graced the event last year and by all indications, Saturday’s event is going to be bigger and better.

A total of 25 drivers are in the line-up, compared to last year’s 14.
Headline acts once again are The Puren Plant Hire & GT Logistics team consisting of the Puren bothers Brendan and Gavin who grabbed second place in SupaDrift 01 this weekend.
Making their debut at the Wild Coast Sun drift track will be super-drift series regulars Paulo Gouveria and Noer Asmodien. A crowd favourite from last year’s event, MC Vic Pardell, returns to keep the crowds entertained throughout the day.
Spectators will be allowed to get up close and personal with drivers and their cars. This is something that sets The Wild Coast Drift Expo apart from other drift events as spectators aren’t allowed close to pit areas at most events. “Show and shine” and ‘sound-off’ events will also take place.

The Ignition TV crew, Thrill Seekers, 1 KZNtv, Gas Magazine and a blogger from Speed and Sound magazine will cover the event and will be among the crowds with cameras. Those looking to have their 30 seconds of fame on TV or have their photo taken must look out for them. Ice-cold beer, food and treats will be available to buy. Entry is R50 per adult and children under 12 enter free.
