MAKHOWANE Primary school in St Faiths said bon voyage to their Grade 7s and graduated their Grade Rs at a sophisticated event at the St Michaels Sands Hotel last Wednesday.

The event was well attended by the teachers, parents as well as the fashionably dressed graduates.

The Grade Rs performed an item for the audience before gracing the stage and accepting their certificates, and some pupils from the Grade 7 class delivered thank you speeches for guests during the ceremony.

School principal Dumisani Ngcobo said the event was a proud moment for the school.

“We are a small school but we like to celebrate our pupils and show them appreciation after they have worked hard the whole year. This encourages other pupils to aspire to be in their position as well as inspires the awarded pupils to keep working hard from a very young age.

“We are happy to be welcoming our Grade R pupils into big school and while we are sad to see the Grade 7s leave, we are happy with their progress and wish them all the best for their futures,” said Ngcobo.
