Local clubs award players

REAL Sporting and 11 Men foot clubs from Doringkop held their annual end of season awards ceremony recently, which was attended by Inkosi Gumede and Ward 25 Councillor Sanele Mfeka.

Real Sporting manager Siphiwe Dube was pleased with the proceedings and said that he would like to thank all those who played a role in ensuring that the day was a success.

He said: “I would like to thank Inkosi for gracing us with his presence as well as our councillor Mfeka who was there at the ceremony. I would also like to thank Roger Parkies from Safa – iLembe and our visitors from Mindlos Sport Management Mandla Ndlovu and Thulele Mazibuko. A special thanks goes to our community for supporting us and to our players.”

Zakhele Chiburi, who chairs both clubs, thanked the players for their hard work and commitment and said he is very proud of their performance as 11 Men are the champions of the Ward 25 Social League and Real Sporting came in second place in the Safa iLembe region, stream B.

He said: “I thank all the players because they played with passion and showed that they are committed and I wish they would stay with these clubs in the coming season.”

11 Men’s Top Goal Scorer - Lungisani Luthuli

Real Sporting’s Player’s Player - Zakhele Tineza

11 Men’s Player’s Player - Sbonelo Msweli

Real Sporting’s Goal Keeper of the Season - Zakhele Tineza

11 Men’s Goal Keeper of the Season - Sinethemba Buthelezi

Real Sporting’s Young Player - 18-year-old Ndumiso Magwagwa who joined the club at the beginning of last season.

11 Men’s Young Player - 16-year-old Ntando Luthuli who progressed from the club’s junior side.

Real Sporting’s Most Improved Player - Siphamandla Masondo

11 Men’s Most Improved Player - Ntobeko Luthuli
