THE family of Andy Rajpaul, who was murdered in September last year, are offering a reward of R50 000 to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of those guilty of robbing them of a husband and a father.

Rajpaul was shot and killed in the presence of his wife.

However, her instincts helped her survive the shooting as she played dead.

The couple was leaving their home in Ashville when they were attacked by two suspects wearing balaclavas.

It is reported that Rajpaul was shot several times before losing control of the Nissan 1400 bakkie he was driving and crashing into an abandoned building.

Mrs Rajpaul, who was also shot, lay next to her slain husband and because she was covered in blood the suspects assumed she was dead and fled the scene without taking any valuables.

Investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Sugen Raman said that no suspects have been arrested.

Anyone with information which could lead to the arrests of the suspects can contact him on 083 553 3233.

Those with information can also contact Reaction Unit South Africa head Prem Balram, who contributed R5 000 towards to the lump sum being offered as a reward, on 086 123 4333.

The grieving Rajpaul family are pleading with anyone with information to come forward so that the law can take its course, justice be served and they can hopefully find closure
