>> The Shree Hanuman Temple Group of Stanger Manor will be donating 300 Diwali hampers valued around R60 000 to the poor and needy. This year the celebration will take place on Sunday, 8 November 2015 at the Shree Hanuman Temple Shrine, 19 Rose Road, Stanger Manor and the public is invited to attend. Applications close on 31 October 2015. The following criteria would apply. Priority will be given to Hindus who are unemployed, persons with family will receive top priority. Bring your ID book and pension card to Hypersinghs Pooja Shop 17 Lindley Street, Stanger if you meet the criteria. No telephone calls will be entertained in identifying an indigent person.
>>A Diwali function will be held at the Rocky Park Value Centre, 21 Van der Wagen Drive, Rocky Park on 8 November 2015 from 11am. Lunch will be served. A prayer for rain, games and a dance competition are on the agenda. Second hand clothes will also be donated to indigent people. Donations for food and hampers are welcome.
