ADVERTORIAL

2018-12-26 06:00

STUDENTS today often lack passion and drive for learning.

They view school as a burden and a boring monotonous chore that they are forced to do. Students often come to me and say: “I do not do well at school and I am okay with that; my aim is just to pass and get it over with”.

Sadly this is the attitude of many teenagers, who will one day be our future leaders. The issue is that they are not intrinsically motivated nor do they have a sense of purpose, ambition nor a dream that they are striving towards.

They are under the misconception that they will pass grade 12 miraculously and somehow qualify for university, or either end up taking over their father’s business or get lucky enough to marry into a rich family.

But where does that leave them as individuals? The answer is simple: unaccomplished, unfulfilled and at a dead end in life.

My advice to such students is to introspect and find their own purpose in life, not relying on the strengths and goodwill of others. Discover your individual passions and attain self mastery, as it will be easier to shape your future doing what you love.

All you need to start feeling motivated and driven is a plan of action. Align your dreams, goals and purpose with your future career. No matter what profession you decide to follow, it needs to align with who you are; your strengths and innate talents.

So what would you like to do with your life? Where do you see yourself in the next ten years?

What is your highest vision of yourself? If you can answer these three questions, you can make decisions that support and pave the way towards achieving your dream life and the ultimate self fulfilment.

Anything is possible. It all starts with planting the seeds of a positive attitude, removing the weeds that sprout up as fears and self doubt.

And lastly, sowing the seeds with hard work, consistency and perseverance. You shall certainly reap the rewards of true SUCCESS by doing what you were destined to do. Learn the art of goal setting, vision questing and soul manifesting using the powerful tool of your mind to create a brighter future, thereby becoming a success magnet.
