THE Fundanami Literacy Society organised a breakfast beach walk on Sunday with the aim of raising funds for storing library books donated by individuals from overseas.

Nine schools are part of the society, namely Tugela, Nonoti, Mavivane, Stanger, KwaDukuza, Glenhills Primary schools and Stanger, Glenhills and MI secondary schools.

An estimated 18 000 books are received and distributed throughout the schools on an annual basis.

Chairperson of the society Christy Kistasamy would like to thank all the sponsors for making the event a success.
