KWADUKUZA Municipality, together with KwaDukuza Artists Forum, held their Heritage Month celebrations at the iLembe Auditorium on Saturday, September 22.

The event showcased the importance of embracing ones traditions and heritage and a music and dance competition was held where dancers from different traditional genres; from Maskandi, Mfene, and traditional Zulu dance among others; competed.

Councillor Ali Ngidi from KDM gave a keynote address and encouraged those in attendance to embrace their culture.

“We must not forget our heritage and where we come from.

“Today we are brought together by heritage and the love for traditional music and dance from different cultures,” he said.
