LOCAL car parts manufacturer Hesto Harnesses donated a state-of-the-art computer lab to Inkosi Albert Luthuli Secondary School on Monday, March 19.
The event was attended by various stakeholders including Hesto management, iLembe Department of Education, KwaDukuza Municipality and members of the Luthuli family.
Speaking on behalf of the Luthuli family former KZN MP Dr Albertina Luthuli encourage parents to nature their children’s education at an early age.
“Mothers more especially need to take interest in their children’s education and have their best interest at heart, they also have a great responsibility of prioritising their education” said Luthuli.
The newly built lab will have a 40 seater capacity which means it will accommodate 40 pupils with the same number of tablets.
The department’s Dr Devan Singh thanked Hesto Harnesses for their contribution to the school and the community.
“This will go a long way in helping our pupils and will ensure effective learning and improve the school’s pass rate as we saw at last year’s results the school was the most improved in the district,” said Singh.
