DARNALL United claimed a huge victory over Dhan’s Auto last week.

The Darnall team members Vinesh Geanbally, Jerry Govender, Nine Pillay and Jerry Arunachellum, started the UNL Produce singles league on a high note after beating Dhan’s Auto 12-4 last Wednesday night at the Quartz Sportsbar.

In the first frame, Geanbally and Arunachellum beat Charlie Pillay and Vasa Rungasamy, while Navern Coopsamy and Justin Naidoo beat Nine Pillay and Jerry Govender to level the scores 2-2 in the opening game.

The second frame saw the Darnall boys step up their tempo and win 3-1 to take a lead of 5-2. In the third frame, Darnall United continued their streak and won 3-1 once more to take a commanding 8-4 lead. The final frame was a real humdinger as the sugar boys proved too strong and won all four games to defeat Dhan’s Auto 12-4 on the night. In the other game, Quartz Darts Club beat Red Gold KZN 14-2.

The Quartz team is a real threat to other clubs as newcomers, with Rowen Pillay, Julian Moonusami, Tridev Singh and Leon Moonsamy all in top form.

The Quartz team won the opening frame 4-0. In the second frame the Quartz team won 3-1 to take a lead of 7-1.

In the third frame, once again the Red Gold team were surprised with a 3-1 defeat.

The final frame was one-way traffic for the Quartz team as they won 4-0 to win 14-2 on the night.
