GLEDHOW United who beat Quartz Darts Club a fortnight ago was brought down by the high-riding Darnall United on Wednesday night at the Quartz Sportsbar.

The Darnall team Vinesh Geanbally, Jerry Govender, Nine Pillay, Jerry
Arunachellum, Devan Gounden,
Terrence Subban and Preollen
Muthoosamy came with high spirits on the night.

Darnall United won the first two team games (1001) and Gledhow United re-grouped and won the third game to make the score line 2-1. In the doubles game (701) Charlie Pillay and Justin
Naidoo teamed up to take on Geanbally and Gounden. Geanbally and Gounden put up a good performance and won the first set to take the scores to 3-1 in favour to Darnall. Navern Coopsamy and Vasa Rungasamy teamed up to take on Pillay and Arunachellum, however, Pillay and Arunachellum beat the Gledhow boys to take the scores to 4-1. With four singles match (501) to go, Gledhow had to dig deep to come back to winnings ways.

In the opening game, Geanbally beat Charlie Pillay to extend the Darnall score to 5-1. Darnall United who secured their win already continued with the winning streak as Gounden beat Jodie Naidoo in the second game to take the score line to 6-1. Nine Pillay who took on Coopsamy had a wayward lead as he scored well to leave his opponent far behind and land himself into a double but failed to close the game. Coopsamy took full advantage of the situation and closed the game to put a point on the scoresheet 6-2. With the final game to go
Rungasamy took on Arunachellum.

Both players produced good tallies, but it was Arunachellum who snatched the game with a bull close to give the Darnall lads a 7-2 win on the night.
In the other game, Quartz Darts Club took on Red Gold KZN Darts Club.
Red Gold won the first team game. Quartz team Rowen Pillay, Leon
Moonsamy, Tridev Singh and Asogan Latshumanan re-grouped and won the next two games to take a lead 2-1.

In the doubles game Red Gold team’s Bradley and Kevin beat Pillay and
Moonsamy to level the scores 2-2. The Quartz pair Singh and Latshumanan once again won and took the lead to 3-2. With four singles game left Quartz Darts Club won three games to claim victory 6-3 on the night. Tonight Singh’s Dart Club vs Gledhow United and Darnall United take on Quartz Darts Club, with Red Gold KZN on duty.
