WITH Neelan’s Auto A breathing down Darnall United’s neck it was too little to late as the sugar boys made it clear that the league title belonged to them.
The Darnall team, Vinesh Geanbally, Jerry Govender, Nine Pillay and Preolen Muthoosamy put up a top performance as they started the team game (1001) in high spirits.
The Darnall team won the first three team games 3-0.
In the doubles game (701) Geanbally and Govender beat Justin Naidoo and Julian Pillay to take the United team to 4-0.
In the second game Pillay and Muthoosamy rubbed more salt in the wound of the Neelan’s A team by beating Naven Coopsamy and Rowen Pillay to secure the league title and make the score line 5-0.
The Darnall lads took the foot off the accelerator as they were caught up in the singles game (501).

With four games to go Justin Naidoo, Julian Moonsamy and Naven Coopsamy beat Geanbally, Govender and Pillay to bring the scoreline to 5-3.
In the final game the high riding Muthoosamy who stuck to the game plan made no mistake to defeat Jodie Naidoo and stand his ground as the striker and bring the scoreline to 6-3 in favour of the Darnall United team and thus clinching the Dolphin Plumming League champions title.
The Sundowner Darts Club, who were in top form throughout the league, beat Neelan’s Auto B 8-1 and had to settle for the runner up position.

The KwaDukuza Darts Association officials want to extend their gratitude and thanks to Sanjay of Dolphin Plumming for his second year of sponsorship.

Next week the KDDA will host the Dilly Puckree Memorial Singles Knockout Tournament.
