Dominating performances at round two of the Strini Motors Team League

THE KwaDukuza Darts Association continued with the Strini Motors Team League round two at the Quartz Sportsbar.

Dhan’s Auto continued with their winning streak after defeating Quartz Darts Club 6-3 with Darnall United chasing Dhan’s Auto head on after beating KZN Red Gold Darts Club 8-1 on the night.

Quartz Darts Club started the team game, winning the first set to lead 1-0. The Dhan’s Auto team regrouped and stunned the Quartz team, winning the next two games to lead 2-1.

Dhan’s Auto proved too strong as Justin Naidoo and Vasa Rungasamy teamed up to beat Leon Moonsamy and Julian Munisamy to take the scores to 3-1. The second game saw Jodie Naidoo and Charlie Pillay rub more salt into the wounds of the Quartz duo of Tridev Singh and Kyle Pillay to take the scoreline to 4-1.

In the singles game, Justin beat Moonsamy in the opening game to extend Dhan’s lead to 5-1. However Munisamy and Singh of Quartz beat Rungasamy and Jodie to give Quartz team two more points.

In the final game, Charlie beat Kyle to give Dhan’s Auto a 6-3 victory on the night to stay on top of the leader board.

In the other game, Darnall United took on Red Gold Darts Club.

Darnall United started the team game like a house on fire, leaving their opponents far behind and landed on the double however, this was short lived as they failed to close after numerous attempts. The Red Gold team clawed their way through and snatched the game away from Darnall United team. This, however, proved to be a wake up call for the Darnall lads.

The Darnall team regrouped and won the next two games to lead 2-1. With doubles game to go, Vinesh Geanbally and Jerry Govender teamed up and beat Bradley Naidoo and Sashen Naidoo while Nine Pillay and Jerry Arunachellum beat Keven Gounden and Ashton Muthoosamy to give Darnall a commanding lead 4-1.The Darnall lads ultimately proved too strong, winning all four singles game to win 8-1 on the night.

Tonight sees Darnall United vs Quartz and Singh’s vs Red Gold with Dhan’s on duty.
