Entumeni Sugar Mill reunion

2016-08-03 06:00

THE community of Entumeni was a vibrant one, proudly existing in a rural area. It had its own orchestra, drama society and a sporting club.
All religious and cultural events were observed. Every activity always received overwhelming support from the community.

The residents regarded themselves as member of one big family.

Sadly, the existence of the closely knit community was disrupted by the closure of the mill. This resulted in residents moving away to settle elsewhere. Many had expressed the desire to host a reunion of the community and so a reunion committee was formed and one was organised.

A reunion of the community of Entumeni will now take place on Saturday, 13 August at the Eshowe Town Hall commencing at 10am.
