SINGH’S Fireworks team put up an attacking force on Wednesday night at the Quartz Sportsbar when they took on Red Gold Darts Club.

In the opening team games, Singh’s took a commanding 3-0 lead with the Singh’s team of Meersingh Soobram, Ajen Singh, Paddy Padayachee and Sanjay Singh continuing their rich vein in the doubles game where Soobram and Ajen teamed up to beat Bradley Naidoo and Sashan Naidoo, taking the scoreline to 4-0. Padayachee and Sanjay beat Keven Gounden and Ashton Muthoosamy to take the scores to 5-0. This was a real fireworks display from the Singh’s team.

With four singles game to go, Red Gold Darts Club had to salvage some pride.

In the opening game, Soobram beat Bradley to take the scores to 6-0 in favour of Singh’s Fireworks.

The second game saw Ajen lose his game to Sashan to give Red Gold Team some hope, saving them from a white wash and taking the scores to 6-1.

However, Padayachee and Sanjay left no stones unturned and won the next two games to give Singh’s Fireworks team a 8-1 win on the night.

In the other game, Quartz Darts Club took on the High riding Darnall United Team.

In the opening team game, Quartz surprised the Darnall lads to win the first game, taking a 1-0 lead. The second game saw the Quartz team win again to lead 2-0.

In the third game, the Darnall United Team got their act together and won the set to trail 2-1. The Quartz Team, led by Leon Moonsamy and Julian Munisamy, had to take on Vinesh Geanbally and Jerry Govender in the doubles game — this was a real humdinger as the Darnall pair won the first set to level the scores to 2-2.

The second game saw Nine Pillay and Jerry Arunachellum beat Tridev Singh and Rowen Pillay to forge ahead 3-2.

With four singles game to go, the Darnall lads put up a five-star performance and won all four singles game to win 7-2 on the night.

Tonight will be a real humdinger as Dhan’s Auto lock horns with Darnall United with both teams chasing the League title. Singh’s Fireworks will take on Quartz Darts Club and Red Gold team is on duty.
