FLIPSIDE B Cricket Club continued their impressive run of form thrashing Warriors B by seven wickets in a T20 game played on Saturday at the Country Club Grounds.

Flipside skipper won the toss and elected warriors to bat first. Warriors’ batsmen tried to weather a storm as Flipside bowlers were firing on all cylinders.

Left arm quicky Asheel Jayramsingh was impressive cleaning up the Warriors’ top order, boasting impressive figures of four wickets for just seven runs from four overs.

Another Flipside bowler supported Jayramsingh by chipping in with two wickets and the other four Flipside’s bowlers claimed a wicket each cleaning out their opponents’ batsmen.

The only Warriors’ batsmen to reach double figures managed 42 runs but he was dropped four times allowing him to give Warriors some sought of target to defend after scoring 95 runs from 20 overs.

Flipside’s openers Ray Moodley (28) and Pragasen Govender (32) took the Warriors’ bowlers to the cleaners smashing a quick 60 runs in seven overs in their opening partnership.

With the dismissal of Moodley and Govender Warriors tried to get back in the game but the damage was already done.

Flipside remain unbeaten after seven games and a victory against Magnum on 5 March will see them crowned T20 champions.
