A KWADUKUZA woman used her teaching experience in Dubai to create a foundation phase education book and CD for less fortunate children.

Rovena Sewpursat said: “The workbook that I have created will basically cover what a child requires at the age of three to four years old.”

The book covers everything a child needs from numbers, alphabets, colours, shapes to letters and number tracing practice.

“Education is essential and this festive season I would like to hand [learning tool] to every child who needs it the most. I have recorded a CD as well in which I am singing out to kids their favorite nursery rhymes. This project has been funded and created by myself and it is not for profit,” she said.

Sewpursat will be in South Africa next week delivering her work to children in Stanger.

“I chose Stanger as the area [to distribute in] because this is my home town a - place where I grew up and relocated to the Middle East.

“I couldn’t think of a better idea than coming home and giving back to the little ones who deserves the best. If You know of any child that will require this please feel free to contact me. Nelson Mandela said ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’”
