AT first glance you’d think it’s a festival, but upon closeinspection, it’s just a celebration of the life of one of the sons of this town’s soil — the heritage of a variety of art — all in one intimate, safe space, with music on the agenda and fashion and style on point. Some years ago, the legend DJ Stitch was born. Showing a keen interest in music, he started listening to the late radio shows on weekends at his strict home with headphones, and fell in love with kwaito music, which was the defining sound of the time.Later, he was drawn into deep house through the influence of the likes of Glen Lewis and Vinny da Vinci, and he has not looked back since. In 2006, what started as a hobby became a professional sound-hire business which later evolved into event co-ordination, which is what you will experience on April 13 at MTH Gardens, where an event headed by mainly local artists will take place, and the audience can expect lots of surprise acts. Come well-dressed for a special night because the event will be captured on HD video and high-resolution pictures will be taken by Pito Chilli and Sizwe M Pictures. There will also be three pop-up fashion stores on site and security will be tight at the ground. General tickets at the gate will be R50 and for VIP they will be R150.For more information, visit our Facebook page @Stitchtainment Mobile Audio cc.
