Grand Super 8 Big Bash tournament

MANOR Cricket Club will commemorate its 20th anniversary with a grand Super 8 Big Bash tournament sponsored by Romans Pizza.

The tournament is opened to all players and clubs and commemorates the end of the cricket season. The competition will be played in two pools of maximum four teams with the top two teams in each pool contesting the finals.

Matches will be eight overs per innings and the last batsman will be allowed to bat on.

Other exciting rules will be a double score last over, the introduction of a super sub.

There are exciting prizes for best batsman, best bowler, best fielder, master blaster (most sixes) player of the tournament and up to R500 for spectators catch.

Lunch for all teams that enter has been sponsored by Romans Pizza. All teams are encouraged to participate, however, the maximum number of eight teams will be allowed to register to participate.

The participation fee is R900 per team and all teams have until Thursday, May 24 to enter. All registration and entry fees must be paid to Mr Bageloo at Shakaland Technical College.

To avoid disappointment teams are encouraged to enter early.
