ILEMBE hosted a double header on Sunday at Gledhow.

In the first match, against Harlequins, Ilembe skipper Z. Ali won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Harlequins posted 103/8 in 20 overs with F. Safri 23, M. Mohamed 22, D. Smuts 17 and F. Baraksi 11 as best batsmen.

Best Ilembe bowlers were S. Llogenathan (3/14 in 4), N. Yousaf (2/13 in 4), I. Sher (1/9 in 2) and R. Mhlongo (1/15 in two overs).

In reply, Ilembe chased 106/4 in 17.1 overs.

Best Ilembe batsmen were N. Yousaf 39, A. Bageloo 24 and S. Logenathan 21.

Harlequins bowlers K. Kettle (1/16 in 4), Y. Godil (1/22 in 3) and F. Safri (1/.22 in 3.1 overs) were the picks.

Ilembe won by six wickets.

In the afternoon match against Hillary Malvern, Ilembe won the toss again and decided to bat, posting a score of 202/6 in 20 overs.

Best batsmen were N. Youasf 76 (six fours, three sixes), S. Chetty 45, A. Bageloo 19 and Z. Ali 19.

Hillary Malvern’s best bowlers were K. Bauershmidt (2/30 in 2) and A. Bauershmidt (2/35 in 4).

In reply Malvern scored 135/7 in 20 overs.

Best batsmen were G. Chislett 28, Z. Wind 27, L. Slabbert 20 and D. Hartzenberg 18.

Best Ilembe bowlers were Aaron Pillay (2/20 in 4), and S. Sadayan (2/29 in 4). Ilembe won by 67 runs.
