ISKF Stanger does it again

2018-06-06 06:00

THE International Shotokan Karate Federation of Stanger travelled to Durban’s University of KwaZulu-Natal to participate in the 25th annual IFFFSKSA friendship championships.

A total of 12 clubs from all around the province were in attendance, with more than 300 participants. The standard of karate demonstrated in Kata (form) and Kumite (freestyle sparring) was of the highest level, as can be expected.

ISKF Stanger team comprised a total of 15 students and returned with a total of 12 medals.

“We are extremely proud of all our students and the standard of karate they demonstrated. The dedication and hard training they put in shows when they can get on the floor and go up against the best in the province and be victorious. Karate teaches discipline, respect and self-defence so we encourage all, young or old, to get involved in this sport,” said Sensei Jonny Pillay.
