According to information from the court, representations made by the defence on behalf of the
minor were not accepted by the senior prosecutor.

He will now be appearing with his co-accused on Thursday for the formal bail hearing.

He will remain in police custody until the appearance.

Twenty-four-
year-old Puckree was allegedly beaten and left for dead by a “group of boys” in Stanger Manor on
Friday night, September 8.

Puckree, a well- known taxi conductor in Glenhills, succumbed to his injuries in Stanger Hospital in the early hours of Sunday.

According to witnesses the victim is believed to have been on a night out with friends when he was walking alone near the Stanger Manor bus terminals and was approached
by a group of young men, who assaulted, kicked and stomped on him.

After intensive
investigation, investigating officers, detectives, Warrant Officer Pat Moonsamy and Warrant Officer Vivi Kistiah arrested the three suspects on Tuesday, September 12.

While rumours
of a fourth suspect turning state witness is doing rounds on social media and in the community, the authorities have yet to confirm this information.

Community
members have come out in their numbers in support of the Puckree family and a protest will be held again tommorrow outside court.
