KDVA to host annual general meeting

KWADUKUZA Volleyball Association (KDVA) will host their annual general meeting on Thursday, 25 February at The Quartz in Stanger Manor commencing at 7.00pm.

An affiliation fee of R500 per team must be paid prior to the commencement of the meeting. Each club must be represented by a maximum of two delegates. Registration booklets with photos of players will be collected at the meeting.

Preceding the annual general meeting will be a special general meeting scheduled to commence at 6.30pm to adopt the new constitution. President of KDVA, Isaac Abraham urged all delegates to submit written credentials on the club’s letterhead.

Meanwhile, Randsons booked their place in the final of the Trophies Engravers-sponsored KDVA Top 8 Knockout Cup after beating Sunbrook in straight sets (2-0). The 2nd semi-final between Grove End and Warriors was abandoned due to lightning and rain.

The semi’-finals will take place tonight (Wednesday) at 7pm with the playoffs for third spot and the final scheduled for Friday, 26 February.

In other volleyball news, KDVA have announced a strong male and female squad to participate in the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Inter-District tournament scheduled for Saturday, April 28 at the UDW Sports Complex.

The KwaZulu-Natal Senior Inter-District Tournament will take place on March 12 at UDW.
