2018-02-28 06:00

KWADUKUZA Volleyball Association (KDVA) will host its 36th biennial general meeting on Thursday, February 22, at The Quartz Conference Centre in Stanger Manor starting at 7pm.

Clubs must be represented by three delegates. Credentials must be presented on club letterheads. New clubs seeking affiliation are requested to submit their constitution and a list of officials prior to the meeting.

The affiliation fee of R500 per team must be paid prior to the commencement of the meeting. Clubs who fail to pay their affiliation fees will not be given a voice at the meeting.

The draws for the Top 8 Knockout Cup will take place immediately after the election of new office bearers. A special general meeting will take place on March 7 for the collection of player registration booklets. The player registration fee remains the same (R1 000 per team irrespective of the number of players per club).

Meanwhile, there was an enthusiastic response to the U13 league, with eight primary schools indicating their willingness to play in the league. The U13 league for boys and girls will get underway in March.

All secondary schools interested in participating in the U17 league (boys and girls) are requested to attend a meeting on Wednesday, March 7, at Manor Primary School at 1 pm to discuss the format of the league.

For more information on the U17 league, contact Isaac Abraham (president of KwaDukuza Volleyball Association) at 079 428 0345.
