KDVA to host special general meeting

KWADUKUZA Volleyball Association (KDVA) will host a special general meeting on Thursday, January 28 at The Quartz Conference Centre in Stanger Manor commencing at 7.00pm.

High on the agenda will be the draws for the 2016 Top 8 Knockout Cup which is scheduled to get underway on Thursday, February 11. Reigning Premier League champions Grove End are sure to start favourites to defend their Top 8 title.

Former champs KSST, who had a topsy turvy season last year will be hoping to put the woes of 2015 behind them and kick off the new year on a winning note. After the Top 8 final on Wednesday, February 23 KDVA will select a squad to participate in the KwaZulu Natal senior Inter-District Tournament scheduled for March 6.

KDVA will distribute KZN registration booklets at the meeting on Thursday which must be completed and given to the KDVA record clerk, Aslam Randeree prior to the Top 8 tournament. Teams that fail to complete the registration booklets will not be allowed to participate in the Top 8 Cup.

KDVA will host a high schools volleyball tournament on Saturday, February 6 at the association courts commencing at 6.30pm.

At the end of the tournament KDVA will select a squad to participate in the KwaZulu-Natal Junior Tournament scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 27.

Ladies interested in participating in the 2016 KDVA Women’s League are requested to send their representatives to the meeting on Thursday.

The KDVA annual general meeting will take place on Thursday, February 25 at The Quartz Conference Centre commencing at 7.00pm.
