THE KwaDukuza Mall has surpassed all expectations and has moved well into the 21st century with its successful social media campaigns.

In the digital realm, KwaDukuza Mall has set the benchmark with astounding reach and engagement.

Currently, the KwaDukuza Mall has the highest number of “likes” or followers within the greater iLembe District among shopping malls.

This is an outstanding achievement and stellar performance given that the KwaDukuza Mall’s Facebook page was created only three months ago.

The mall amazingly attracted over 20 000 followers on Facebook within 60 days.

This achievement is particularly notable as other malls within the region who have been trading for a much longer period have not achieved this kind of growth.

To celebrate this milestone, the KwaDukuza Mall gave away prizes in the form of gift vouchers to three lucky winners picked at random from the Facebook following.

Kumaran Vadevale walked away with the first prize of a R1 000 voucher, and Simphiwe Mchilost and Ayesha Mohamed walked away with the second and third prizes, R500 vouchers each.

The Facebook page was created to bring the community of KwaDukuza together and to highlight special offers, promotions, and current events within the mall.

Denver Govender, the digital marketing strategist, said: “This platform has surpassed all expectations and has shown tremendous growth over a short period of time.

“The reason for this has been the extreme love and support which the community of KwaDukuza has shown in each and every post.”

A comment on the Facebook page read: “Shopping at KwaDukuza Mall has created a great convenience to us the residents of KwaDukuza.

“In fact I have worked out that the return trip from KwaDukuza to Ballito is 56 km and at R4.50 per kilometre as per AA rates it costs a shopper R252 plus return toll fees of R26, a total of R278 per trip.

“The return travelling time to Ballito is 50 minutes.

“Shopping at the KwaDukuza Mall most certainly means great financial savings to the residents of KwaDukuza.”

It is positive feedback like this that helps with building a sense of community and uplifting the staff of the various retailers.

Some of the top posts have reached and engaged with over 20 000 individual people within the KwaDukuza region.

“The management team of the KwaDukuza Mall had a vision to bring the community of Stanger and surrounding areas together, this mall has in fact done exactly that.

“The spirit of camaraderie is exemplified by the support of the community.

“This mall has resonated deep within the heart of the Stanger and greater KwaDukuza and iLembe region.

“The KwaDukuza Mall is geared up for the Black Friday weekend with plenty of amazing bargains and specials.

“The weekend will also see the opening of Milady’s and MRP, which will open towards the end of the month.

“Vivian Reddy and the KwaDukuza Mall management team wish to sincerely thank each and every follower of the KwaDukuza Mall Facebook page for their contribution to the success of the social media platform,” Govender concluded.
