MANOR Cricket Club ended its season on a high with a convincing victory over high fliers United Cricket Club. United, the more fancied team with several Ilembe Challenge League players including captain and former Manor player Alviero Nadasen and all rounder Ismail Mohammed, won the toss and elected to bat.

United concluded their innings on a 107 for 7 after 20, top scores Ismail Mohammed 27 runs, Z Ali 24 runs and former Manor skipper Nadesan 10 runs, pick of Manor bowlers was Alex Pillay claiming 3 wickets for 22 runs of his allotted 4 overs. 

In reply,  Manor amassed a total 108 for 3 after 16 overs as they cruised through the run chase, with skipper Comfort Shange top scoring 51 not out, and the young talented  Saieshan Lognathen 36 not out. 

United looked to be earlier title contenders after defeating Morningside earlier in the season however, with this defeat next years title race looks to be quite open. 

Manor secretary P. Ramchuran has been working  hard behind the scenes to create l systems to ensure a stronger showing next season with the signing of several talented youngsters and the appointment of a new coach for the team. 
All interested and prospective cricketers are encouraged to contact the officials of the club should they wish to join.
