MAPHUMULO Local Municipality Mayor Zibuyisile Khuzwayo-Dlamini hosted a matric prayer service in preparation for the class of 2018’s final examinations at the Dlakathi multi-purpose hall on Thursday.

The aim of the service was to pray for matriculants as they prepare to start with their final examinations and for the smooth running of the exams.

The mayor gave her message of support to hundreds of matric pupils from all around Maphumulo who attended the service, saying: “As we come to the end of yet another academic year, many of you have devoted your time to ensure that you do well in this last hurdle of your schooling history, and most of you have already set sights on your tertiary education.

“I wish you all the best in your final examination.

“I wish to acknowledge all teachers who gave their all to ensure that these young members prepare themselves to do well in their final examination,” said Khuzwayo-Dlamini

The matric exam prayer was joined by reverend Ntuli, who gave a word of worship, Maphumulo circuit manager Mrs Sikhosana, and Maphumulo Municipality councillors. Maphumulo Local Municipality continues to commit to youth development as they are the future of our nation.
