The funniest feast of comedy has been cooked up and is ready to be served on Durban comedy lovers at the Sibaya iZulu Theatre.

The all new Mixed Masala Comedy Showcase which features Durban’s best white, black, Indian and coloured comedians all on one stage is a truly multicultural Durban comedy show which has never been done before.

Mixed Masala promises to be the most culturally funny show to ever hit Durban as comedians tell hilarious tales about living in Durban from their own unique perspectives.

The show will feature comedy king and East Coast Radio jock, Darren Maule, who is a household name and has played to packed houses across the country. Famous for his sharp wit and impeccable timing Maule provides a unique and colourful look into life in South Africa.

He will be supported by Durban comedy favourite Mervyn Pillay known as the “thinking man’s comedian” who is the veteran of SA Comedy. Also on the lineup is Robby Collins who is best known for his numerous appearances on Comedy Central as well as for being part of Trevor Noah’s NationWild tour. Another local favourite who will take to the stage is Annalakshmi who always has a few hilarious musical numbers up her sleeve.

Also featured will be some of Durban’s hottest up and coming talent including Mo Vawda who won over scores of fans with a great string of performances in 2016, Tyson “the wit ou” Heffer, Kams Govender who has had audiences across the country in stitches with his zingy one liners and Mfundo Ndovela who is widely regarded on the KZN comedy circuit.

The show is an opportunity to experience Durban’s own unique style and flavour of comedy. It’s a show about a city with much diversity and cultural magic and Durbanites telling their stories.

Mixed Masala takes place at the Sibaya iZulu Theatre on 27/28 January at 8pm. Tickets are R120 from Computicket/Shoprite/Checkers and Sibaya Box Office.
