LOXION Motorshow is at it again, bringing motoring to people of Durban through the first of its kind eThekwini Motor Festival.

In the company’s fifth instalment since 2012, Loxion Motorshow has adopted a winning formula and has shared it with the community at large. The eThekwini Motor Festival is a two-day adrenalin filled family event that runs simultaneously, Driftkhana (spinning), Motorbike Concours (exhibition), Show n Shine, Sound Off, Best Taxi Parade (Taxi Fashion Show) and New Car Display (dealerships). Everybody is welcomed to participate or be a spectator.

Tickets from Computicket, at the gate or at Moses Mabhida Stadium ticket counter starting from R100.

It is with a heavy heart that we return to Durban without one of the directors, Gugu Zulu who died on 18 July.

Heading the operations, Nana Zulu said: “The departure of Zulu, with whom I started Loxion Motorshow, was very unexpected and unbelievable. He had great dreams for Loxion Motorshow, which we will continue because he still lives in the heart of the company.”

Not only has Loxion Motorshow focused on exhibitions, but the team has taken motorsports to the people taking go karting to Maponya Mall Soweto, Motard to Boardwalk Inkwazi Mall Richards Bay and gymkhana, spinning to Umlazi Mega City Durban, Show n Shine, Sound Off to Savannah Mall Polokwane, just to name a few.

“The team is highly trained, equipped and resourced to see this dream to its peak. Loxion Motorshow has grown from strength to strength and not only have we added great entertainment to the menu, but we have managed to secure the most desirable venues.

“No local motorsports team has ever managed to utilise the inside of Moses Mabhida Stadium except for Top Gear, an international company. We are excited that Moses Mabhida Stadium has opened its doors to the eThekwini Motor Festival with the support of eThekwini Municipality and Durban Tourism.

“Our team consists of the greatest minds in motorsports, such as Reece Williamson in gymkhana and drifting, Amadlelandawonye Association and Clive Pillay in motorbike, Rahim Mahomed in Show n Shine and Somers in Sound Off. Tickets from Computicket for the two-day event. The Taxi Fashion Show will see 70 of the best taxis from all regions in Durban, showcasing their beauty and ability.”

Don’t miss the eThekwini Motor Festival at Moses Mabhida Stadium on 10 and 11 December. Gates open at 9am and 10am until 9pm on both days. For those looking for more power and thrills, there will also be an array of Sports cars on display.
