THREE suspects, aged between 23 and 25, appeared in the Ndwedwe Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 18 August, facing murder charges. KZN SAPS spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said the suspects were arrested on Wednesday, 17 August, by detectives from the Ndwedwe SAPS. “They were arrested during a suspect raid operation that was conducted by the members who were tracing wanted suspects,” Zwane said. He said the alleged murder they were suspected of took place on 6 August at around 11pm. “The victim, 35-year-old Mpunyezwa Jali, was in his house at Ndwedwe mission when he was attacked by three suspects. He was stabbed several times on his body and he died instantly. “The motive for his killing is unknown. A case of murder was opened at Ndwedwe police station for further investigation. Through hard work by Ndwedwe detectives, the suspects were arrested and charged accordingly,” Zwane said.
