LAST Friday saw the first night market in KwaDukuza, hosted by uShaka Mall Management and co-ordinated by Noorjehan and Aidan Isaac (mall manager).
In spite of inclement weather the crowd gathered in their numbers in support of the event.
The atmosphere was filled with children’s laughter and adult chatter. The mall was abuzz with activity and fun.
A spread of tantalising food was on offer and compliments filled the air as patrons expressed their satisfaction with the lovely treats.
Stalls ranged from handbags and perfumes to health and wellness products with a variety of items that catered for all needs.
The success of the event was overwhelming. The event continued on Saturday morning as people flocked the centre to enjoy the flea market while taking advantage of the specials at the various stores in the mall.
Life-size Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse characters entertained the children and the joy and jubilance of the younger crowd could be seen and heard on the jumping castle on centre stage.
Race, religion and ethnicity became irrelevant as the community became part of this singular Ushaka Mall experience.
The aim of the event was to promote the uShaka Mall while bringing the community to a common place where families amalgamate into one uShaka family and create an opportunity for the community of KwaDukuza to see the new and improved shopping centre and what it has to offer.
With new branded shops opening on almost a monthly basis the community of KwaDukuza can now enjoy a pleasant and diverse shopping experience.
The mall offers a wide spread of shops ranging from grocery shopping at Pick n Pay to those extra “spoil yourself goodies” at branded stores like Fashion Fushion, Just Plastics (newly opened), Crazy Store, Clicks, Tekkie Town (newly opened), Fielli Outlet Store.
For all your communication needs in this fast growing technological age shops like Ismo Cellular, Cell C and Telkom will satisfy your requirements. Salons such as Hair dot Com and G-Best will relax your stressful self while grooming you to catwalk status.
G’s Coffee Shop & TJ’s Hookah Lounge bring you delicious meals and beverages and interesting middle-east flavours for your ultimate relaxation.
Pop around the corner to find quality grade meat at Marahba Meats butchery and along the path Cashbuild will provide you with all your building requirements. Are you looking for an exquisite taste in home furniture and accessories, then Fielli has it all.
We offer you a range of fine furniture while also catering for the budget breakers. We have it all just for you. Step over to curtain collection to add that matching drape to your home décor. The uShaka Mall has so much to offer. We’ve considered the traffic nightmare of this town and have improved on our parking.
While we’ve provided ample parking space on the floor level parking area, the undercover basement parking has been renovated and upgraded for your convenience.
With new lighting installed, we ensure a more visible safer parking. We went a step further to install surveillance cameras and posted 24-hour security personnel in the basement to assure you, our valued customer, that your vehicle is safe and secure while you shop stress free and at leisure.
Much more is coming your way, our fellow town’s people. We’re just getting started at uShaka Mall.
Expect a bumper festive season. Already the feedback suggests that more community events such as the night market should be held at the mall.
Management has heard that call and we shall respond accordingly. Watch the press for details. Drop by the mall, meet the manager, share your thoughts and suggestions and become part of this growing cultural shopping experience.
Thanks to all who supported and were a part of the night market and flea market. Special thanks to Noori for the successful effort.
