PADDY Padayachee walked away with the KwaDukuza Darts Association pre-season singles title last week, beating out tough competition.

The top half of the draw saw Meersingh Soobram beat Terrence Subban 2-0.

Nine Pillay beat Tridev Singh 2-0.

The bottom half of the draw saw KZN cap veteran Paddy Padayachee beat Ajen Singh 2-0, while Jerry Arunachellum beat Jason Naidoo 2-0.

Soobram, who was throwing top darts, kept his cool and beat the more fancied Nine Pillay 2-0 to advance into the final.

Padayachee, who was unstoppable on the night, beat Arunachellum 2-0 to meet Meersingh in the final.

The final was a one-sided affair as Padayachee beat Meersingh 2-0 to claim the KDDA pre-season singles title.

KDDA will host a council meeting on February 21 at the Quartz sports bar at 7 pm.
Tonight, the association will host a singles tournament.
