THERE was a phenomenal response to the Baptist Association of South Africa (BASA) youth prayer meeting held at the Umhlali Baptist Church on Friday night.

They kicked off their programme with a prayer meeting at the Umhlali Baptist Church.

Officials of BASA were ecstatic with the phenomenal response from the youth and pastors with more than hundred young people assembling for prayer.

President of BASA, Kennedy Govender was full of praise for the youth who made the sacrifice to be present at the prayer meeting and encouraged them to participate in all activities planned for the year.

The Baptist Association of South Africa (BASA) youth department have unveiled an exciting and entertaining programme for the youth in 2018.

The youth are encouraged to attend a combined youth meeting on Friday, July 16 at the Jehovah Shalom Baptist Church in Glenhills.

Other highlights for the year include a concert in the park at the Stanger Manor Baptist Church on March 23, followed by a youth musical concert at the Livingstones Baptist Church in Richards Bay on April 27 and at Eastbury (Phoenix) on May 25 and a youth sports day (encompassing the Sunday school children) at the Stanger Manor Primary School Ground on June 16.

A youth camp is being planned for August (10-12) followed by a youth concert at the Stanger Baptist Church on September 28.

Newly-elected BASA youth leader, Isaac Abraham said: “The youth events are not restricted to the Baptist churches and urged pastors and leaders of all churches to encourage their youth to participate in the events planned for 2018”.

Youth leaders and pastors interested in participating in the programme are urged to attend a meeting on Sunday, February 4 at the Jehovah Shalom Baptist Church at 2pm. For further information contact Isaac Abraham on 079 4280 345.
