Season’s greetings

2018-12-26 06:01

WITH 2018 finally drawing to a close, I can say this year has been nothing short of an adventure. I cannot say I’m sad to see it go as I look ahead to a 2019 filled with exciting possibilities.

As we end the year, we have been forced to say goodbye to a number of community stalwarts, including Penny Dhaver and Krish Kisten. These losses will certainly be felt by our community in the long run.

It has indeed been a tough year for the KwaDukuza community.

As we wind down, I want to thank you, our readers, for your support over the year. Without our readers support we would not be successful in being the newspaper of choice for our community.

I urge you to continue the ritual of picking up your copy of the Stanger Weekly every Wednesday in the new year as we continue to bring you your community happenings.

For those of you heading out on the roads, drive safely and always wear a seat belt.

For those hitting the beaches, ensure you are conscious of your surroundings at all times and heed warnings.

Stay safe and have a joyful, prosperous festive season. I wish you all a fantastic 2019 and look forward to meeting in the new year.

-Jyothi Laldas.
