A SECURITY guard was shot while delivering cash to an ATM at a retail store in KwaDukuza on Wednesday.
In the video, a security guard can be seen opening an ATM machine.
When the guard opens the ATM, bystanders begin fleeing, presumably after a gunshot rang out.
An assailant positioned directly behind the guard then shoots at him.
The security guard, by that time on the floor, moves around writhing in pain.
In the video, at least three armed robbers are seen.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane said that security had been delivering four canisters with cash to the store.
“Whist loading they heard a gunshot and noticed the suspects firing toward them.

“A security guard [was wounded in] the left arm and the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.”
No arrests were made and a case of armed robbery was opened at KwaDukuza police station for investigation.
