SMURFS Hiking club member Reshmi Singh relives the thrilling adventure of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro.

The journey began a year ago with high altitude training on the peaks of the Drankensberg and Lesotho. The Smurfs Hiking Club conducted these training camps under team leader Vimal Mothilal.

“Having endured high altitude conditions, lack of oxygen, traversing steep sunrises; my mental, physical and emotional levels were tested beyond their limits,” she said.

Singh further shared her experience of the mountain and having witnessed the search of dreams clashing on the high altitude battlefield of endurance.

“This outward journey of discovery has eventually led me to my inner summit.

“Grounded and humbled more than before, I have returned home even more appreciative of the soil I walk on.

“I believe in pushing your comfort zone, stepping into the unknown, never-stop pursuing the spirit of adventure,” she added.
