A 20-year-old taxi cab owner from Indian Village who operated from the parking lot of a local supermarket, Darius Narsinuloo, was found dead by sand mining workers near a river in Mvoti last Thursday.

According to KwaDukuza SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Johannes Khoza, Narsinuloo was last seen on Tuesday, 4 October at 6.30pm and on the following day his family reported him missing to the police.

He said that Narsinuloo’s vehicle, a sky blue Toyota Tazz with the registration NT 7701, has still not been recovered.

“The police are investigating a case of murder. We are appealing to members of the community who might have information about the incident to come forward and anyone who might have spotted the vehicle to please inform the police,” Khoza said.

According to a source who operates a taxicab from the same parking lot, Narsinuloo was hired by a female and a male client and that was the last time he was seen.
