TRAVELLING will be made easier for the community of Mahlawe, Ward 9 in Maphumulo as the Deputy Mayor of Maphumulo Local Municipality Zama Ncalane officially turned the sod for the Esihlahleni access road project on Thursday, April 5. The tarred road will join the D1530 with the R74 highway. Ncalane urged the community to give the main contractor their full co-operation, time and patience needed in order to complete the project with ease. “As Maphumulo Municipality we commit ourselves to community development. “The construction of this road will give easy access to the community and we hope that the community will respect the constructor and give him all the co-operation and patience needed for the duration of this contract. “This project will provide job opportunities and skills training for our local people and youth in particular,” said Ncalane. Ncalane introduced Sele & Musa Trading and Tours Company who will be constructing the road for the duration of 12 months. Construction was expected to start on Monday.
